Stephanie and I took the babies to Balboa Park today... we put all three babies, and their car seats, in the back seat of the Explorer and drove downtown. Walked around the park, had a picnic on the grass, and then had a drink at the Prado. Beautiful day!
I ordered some hair balm for the kids so that I could get Anjali's hair into clips easier... yesterday Stephanie and I used it to create mohawks on the kids. We had fun :)
I was emptying the dishes and the babies decided to "help."
Anjali, Connor and I went to the beach today with Auntie Stephanie and Cousin Tage. It was about 80 degrees out and beautiful! I am so lucky to live in San Diego.
First, the three kids played in the sand. Connor ate the sand, Anjali wriggled in it, and Tage played nicely :) It was so much fun to watch - and I am looking forward to the summer when they'll be running around the beach together.
The other day Connor found a small package of Nutella on the floor of the laundry room. (No idea how it got there.) Somehow he punctured the package and managed to taste it. By the time I caught him, he had tasted the fabulous hazelnut spread... I reached to grab for the container and he FREAKED out... He wouldn't let go and screamed louder than I had ever heard him scream. I did manage to wrestle the package away from him, but he's now tasted the amazing Nutella.
Last weekend we took our first road trip with the babies. We've gone on local drives, but this was a two-hour drive to L.A. to visit Neesha, Rahul and baby Iyla.
Connor and Anjali did great on the way up... both fell asleep for a little while and were fairly easily entertained the rest of the time.
When we got to their house, the babies made themselves right at home... played with toys, made a mess, and then it was time for a nap. So great - they both fell asleep in the pack-n-plays and napped as usual! Awesome. They also slept through the night with just a few little peeps. Nothing major.
We had such a great time with Neesha, Rahula and baby Iyla... had an awesome dinner and fabulous wine.
Can't wait to see them again.
Oh and I had to post this video of Connor!
Yesterday the kids and I hung around the house so that I could fully recover from the flu. Whew! So glad that's over.
I gave the babies pumpkin bread and they loved it, as you can see by these photos. We had a great time... danced around the house, played in our big room, complete with slides and climbing walls (the baby-sized kind), and napped. Yes, I got to nap as well!
